It’s a hipster hotspot but it’s also home to some of London’s finest cultural venues. Clarendon serviced apartments compiles an itinerary for a day out in Holborn.

If you’re in London’s Holborn for work or pleasure then you’ll find plenty of things to do to keep you occupied. Stay in serviced apartments in Holborn to benefit from a cost-effective and stylish accommodation which is centrally located making it easy for you to get out and about on your day off.

Start off in the morning at Sir John Soane Museum. A must visit for art lovers; the museum has over 30,000 architectural drawings and antiquities. Works by painting’s great figures including Turner, Canaletto and Piranesi feature in the gallery. The centrepiece is William Hogarth’s magnificent ‘A Rake’s Progress’, a series of eight paintings from the 18th century which chart the downfall of a merchant’s son in London. The museum is designed into different sections, each with its own identity and appeal. There is a domed ceiling in the Breakfast Room, a Gothic Library and two courtyards teaming with ancient stonework. This museum is a treasure trove for visitors.

Stop for lunch around the corner at Coco Momo. With a brunch menu, big plates, sandwiches, burgers and salads there is enough to suit even the fussiest of eaters. There are deals to mix and match dishes on the restaurant’s European menu so it is ideal for any budget. A wide selection of cocktails – vintage or contemporary – as well as wines and beers allows for a treat with lunch.

In the afternoon continue the cultural day trip by heading to The British Museum. The exhibits in the world-famous museum span the last two millennia. Inside, cover two and a half miles as you dip in and out of the 90 galleries which include collections from Egypt, Rome and Greece. Art features from every culture on the globe including Oriental art, Indian and Islamic.  The history of the British Isles is told through artefacts dating from the prehistoric period to the present day.
